Confluence is the must-attend annual gathering for music professionals, artists, and industry leaders across the Carolinas and the Southeast. Whether you’re shaping the business of music, innovating behind the scenes, or creating the soundtrack of tomorrow, this is where the region’s music community comes together to share ideas, make connections, and drive the industry forward.

How Does It Work?

Confluence is more than a conference—it’s a community experience built for those shaping the future of music.

During the Day: The daytime experience gathers industry leaders for panels, workshops, roundtables, and keynotes as well as networking events. The full schedule will be announced soon.

At Night: The music starts Wednesday night with the official kickoff party. The music continues Thursday and Friday nights with live showcase sets by dozens of Carolinas-based acts from all genres. Showcases will take place in centrally located venues and will be largely walkable each night. The lineup will be announced soon.

The Pass: Your Confluence All-Access Pass includes access to ALL of the above as well as the Official Confluence Kickoff Party. Passholders also get the exclusive ability to purchase a ticket to special, intimate workshops. Workshop topics to be announced soon.

Confluence is for the doers and the dreamers, the problem-solvers and the future-makers. Members of the Confluence community make real connections, gain fresh insights, learn new tools and strategies, and leave inspired.

In 2025, 290+ music industry executives, music startup founders, emerging talent, nonprofit leaders, media, and government leaders from across the Carolinas and beyond attended the conference. At night, 1,200+ attended showcases in independent venues across the city. From the post-event survey, 90+% of attendees said they were Satisfied to Extremely Satisfied with their experience. And 90+% were Very to Extremely Likely to attend again.

Our Story

Confluence debuted in 2019. Produced by the Whitewater Center, MaxxMusic, and Midwood Entertainment and held at the Whitewater Center just outside of Charlotte, Confluence featured two days of panel discussions and keynotes and dozens of performances by a diverse lineup of Charlotte artists.

In 2023, after a pandemic-induced hiatus, Music Everywhere CLT relaunched an even bigger and better Confluence. The original producers have all remained on board as hosts or sponsors.
