Our Story
Confluence debuted in 2019 at the U.S. National Whitewater Center. Produced by the Whitewater Center, MaxxMusic, and Midwood Entertainment, Confluence featured two great days of panel discussions and keynotes and dozens of performances by a diverse lineup of Charlotte artists. After a pandemic-induced hiatus, Music Everywhere CLT is proud to relaunch Confluence, bigger and better than ever.
Relaunching in 2023, Confluence is the Carolinas’ premier music industry conference. Over two days and nights, Confluence will inspire, connect, elevate, and celebrate the Charlotte and Carolinas’ music community.

Who Should Come?
Artists, producers, songwriters, musicians, promoters, talent buyers, record labels, media professionals, publicists, agencies, nonprofits, and more. We welcome anyone who is passionate about music and eager to be part of a vibrant and collaborative environment. Confluence offers a unique opportunity to connect with local and regional talent and gain insights from local, regional, and national music industry leaders.
From effective music marketing strategies and monetizing your music to stagecraft, production essentials, and nurturing a thriving music community – Confluence will have it. Sessions will also cover release strategies, pitching venues and festivals, collaboration, scene-building, building an indie career, equipping artists with the tools they need to succeed in the music industry of today and tomorrow.
And here’s the best part: Confluence is not just for artists and industry professionals; it’s for music enthusiasts too. At dozens of showcase sets over two nights, we invite the local community to experience the incredible talent in this region and support the venues that power the scene.
Who’s Behind This Amazing Thing?
Confluence 2023 will be hosted by Music Everywhere CLT, which is a nonprofit initiative to develop Charlotte’s music scene and economy. Music Everywhere CLT was launched by Charlotte Center City Partners, a nonprofit that boldly envisions and activates strategies to assure Charlotte’s Center City is a welcoming and equitable, economically vibrant, culturally rich, and beloved place for all.
