Christopher Brent Wood, professionally known as (pka) Brent Faiyaz, a Maryland native, Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, producer, international R&B sensation, and style icon. At the early age of 10, developed a love for music and started making beats in his parents’ basement. Upon graduating high school his family relocated to Charlotte North Carolina and Brent began releasing his own music on SoundCloud. He has upended the contemporary R&B scene with his raw, frank lyrics and ’90s-vibed alt-R&B sound — and become a bona fide mainstream hit-maker in the process.
