Micah Cottingham and William Steven Hall met and started writing together in the fall of 2020. The two started in their respective touring bands (MICVH / Swim in the Wild) and during the pandemic, found solace in a new, creative adventure. falllift released their debut indie-folk EP, Sunday Sessions, in December of 2022.
Between now and then, there have been two cross-country tours, a sync placement, and the group is releasing new music throughout 2024. The duo tends to step outside of traditional genres, integrating life experiences with their combined musical knowledge, to create authentic and intentional sound.
falllift writes about finding balance, navigating relationships, holding space for hardness, and the collective experience of what it means to be human in today’s world.
