Matt Mandrella serves as the City of Huntsville’s first ever Music Officer and oversees the Huntsville Music Office. The Huntsville Music Office was established in 2022 and serves to create a more dynamic music environment that supports and strengthens Huntsville’s growing economy, attracts visitors, and enhances the quality of life for current residents. It nurtures the city’s music ecosystem through advocacy, policy, economic development, and strategic planning initiatives focused towards ensuring that the City’s thriving music sector reaches its full potential. The City of Huntsville has invested over $100 million in music infrastructure since 2020 and was recently named #1 on Fast Company’s prestigious list of the Most Innovative Companies in Economic Development, specifically for making music and supporting musicians a centerpiece of a city’s business growth.
