Mike Killeen has served as the CFO at First Avenue Productions since joining the venue and concert promoter in 2013. As an integral part of the executive leadership team, he’s overseen the acquisition of four operating entities and venues, resulting in revenue doubling, and is currently working on the Upper Harbor Terminal outdoor amphitheater development on the Mississippi River. In 2020, the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) was formed, and Mike worked with the NIVA Board, and on the Insurance Committee, for the organization representing thousands of independent venues and promoters across the country.
Mike is an avid golfer and hip-hop enthusiast, a combination that endears him to all who know him. Before joining the First Avenue team, Mike spent five years in corporate finance with medical device and technology firms, as well as five years in public accounting at Grant Thornton in both the U.S. and Hong Kong. He has served as a Board Member and Treasurer for Kulture Klub Collaborative, an organization that engages with youth experiencing homelessness by providing enriching art and artistic opportunities. Mike earned his BA in Accounting and MIS from Luther College and is an alum of Minnehaha Academy.
