Working with music is nothing new for Teddy Johnson.
Born into a New York family where Opera, Classical, Jazz, and Rock could all be heard and performed by his mom, who was a music therapist, piano teacher, and insisted all her children learn two instruments at a minimum.” We all had to perform in front of the family and get a thumbs up at various family parties, they were a tough audience.”
Johnson has been hiring artists for over 30 years. Beginning his career in Hotel Special Events located in NYC and Miami, eventually leading the Florida Grand Opera and the opera’s opening of the Adrienne Arsht Center for Performing Arts.
As Managing Partner for Middle C Jazz, Johnson is responsible for everything from the Guest Experience to contributing to Artist programming. Helping with Artist selection is Johnson’s own musical ability as an accomplished drummer. Johnson has performed with many well know artists such as Michael Anthony, Billy Sheehan, and Joe Perry to name a few.
Johnson’s greatest enjoyment is seeing the success of the performances as the guest is mesmerized by the music & artistical talent-
